A pleasant atmosphere and cheery barista made this a great choice for a rainy morning. Our breakfast croissant sandwiches were fantastic. Mine, the tomato, spinach, Swiss and egg white (needs a catchier name, eh?), was fresh and satisfying. I love it when a place takes its tomatoes seriously, and these were A+ tomato slices. It's a small sign that an eatery considers the details.

The lattes were also well made and served at the perfect temperature. I'd like to see them use actual mugs for eat-in customers. It's a personal preference, but really adds to the enjoyability of a warm drink. My only actual complaint would be my latte had strange cruddy grey strings at the bottom. Lack of coffee knowledge means I have no idea what this was... unmixed syrup or slight curdling, perhaps.

    Would love to return!

Reclaimed wood, old license plates and signs from high-end vehicles, old and new, coffee-bean burlap sacks all as decoration.  There might be a theme here but nothing related to the food.

It's a coffee shop, but I sense the coffee drinks take a back seat to the food.  The coffee is fine, but not a standout. It won't make me drive out of the way to get here.

The spinach, egg-white, tomato and swiss breakfast croissant was tasty and just the right size for a lighter breakfast option.   Order at the counter, pay, and then someone from the kitchen will bring your order to the table.  It's easy and no-fuss.  The kitchen does a good job with the presentation.  It almost made me feel guilty for cutting into it.

There's only a few tables and if having a table is your preference, come early or during off-hours. The tables fill quickly.  The counter-style seating is okay but doesn't encourage lingering.

Caretta is fine for what it is and what it does.  What it has in its favor: it's a family-owned, independent coffee-shop. Sometimes that's worth the extra travel time.

Was really hopeful when trying this place despite the mixed reviews but I'm going to have to give it two thumbs down. First, the staff was not very helpful. When asked for recommendations she didn't have much to suggest because she hardly had anything on the menu. If your going to have someone taking orders make sure they've tried the menu! As for the second staff member she barely talked to us. The drinks were not good, trust me do not try the espresso cocktails no matter how Intriguing they sound. For $6 a drink they should be quite delicious, my husband said they tasted like muddy dish water-which is a pretty accurate description. Also, my smoothie bowl which I was very vocally excited about trying, was missing ingredients. It's Pretty frustrating paying for something and not getting it as described, plus we were the only two customers in the building so they had no reason to make our order wrong. To be fair I feel like this place has potential maybe We caught it on a bad day or something but to win me over they seriously need to step up there game!

local roasted beans from black and white, gluten free pizza/ snacks, and some pretty good smoothies & espresso cocktails.

The price is a little high but it's worth it for quality beans/drinks.

    Only suggestions I have:
Traditional espresso drink sizes for a better milk to espresso ratio.
    More milk alternatives
Toast bar is great but  i don't know if everyone loves truffle oil.
    A few more sandwich options

Other then that this place is awesome and you should check it out.

I went back a 2nd time hoping to find my local coffee shop, but it won't be here unfortunately. The display case in the front had old frittata and French toast bake and neither one looked edible. There was a pasta salad that also looked inedible, and I'm pretty sure the date was 7/18... today is the 23rd. The barista was dull and the coffee was nothing special. Totally underwhelming especially since when you read the menu everything sound delicious!
